Our 12 day escorted Cape Safari is planned with the family in mind. It includes exciting wildlife excursions in a range of different environments, great contrasts every day designed to grip the attention of young and old alike, togetherness, wildlife and scenery and whole lot of fun! One for the memory banks.
Day 1. Arrive Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of day at leisure.

Day 2. Cape of Good Hope. Today see superb views of Cape Town from on top of Table Mountain. Enjoy a tour of Seal Island and drive along the legendary Chapmans' Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. After lunch, (own account) visit Boulders Beach, where wooden walkways allow you to view the penguins in their natural habitat. B
Day 3. Two Oceans Aquarium Kids, have oceans of fun at the Two Oceans Aquarium. Visit several interesting and diverse exhibits with over 3000 living sea animals, including sharks, fish, turtles and penguins that can be seen in the spectacular underwater nature reserve. Afternoon at leisure at the V&A Waterfront. B
Day 4. Stellenbosch. Today after a short tour of Stellenbosch, visit Spier for a visit to the Cheetah Outreach facility. Tuck into your delicious Spier Deli picnic basket in a tranquil setting, whilst allowing the children to expend their energy at the children's playground. Next, experience a personal encounter with Eagles and Owls. BL
Day 5. Cape Town. A day of leisure to either unwind by the pool, stroll along the nearby promenade, or take to the shopping malls for those last minute Cape Town souvenirs. As an optional extra, we recommend that you visit Robben Island. B
Day 6. Cape Town to Oudtshoorn. This morning depart Cape Town and head for Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world. Travel via the town of Montagu on the scenic ‘Route 62' to the pretty village of Barrydale. Lunch (own account) is at the County Pumpkin where you can enjoy an array of South African dishes.

Day 7. Oudtshoorn. Today explore the facts and fiction surrounding crocodiles and view elegant cheetahs at the Cango Wildlife Ranch. Next visit the Cango Caves. After lunch head to the Safari Ostrich farm to learn more about these hardy, enigmatic creatures. B
Day 8. Oudtshoorn to Knysna. After breakfast drive via the spectacular Outeniqua Pass to Knysna. Visit the Elephant Sanctuary, and then enjoy a tour at the Birds of Eden, a world class free flight bird sanctuary boasting the world's largest dome. Lastly, visit Monkeyland where one will see many cute and adorable species of monkeys and lemurs. BL

Day 9. Knysna. Today is at leisure for you and your family to enjoy at your own pace. We recommend a number of optional extra activities from a serene and leisurely cruise on the vast Knysna Lagoon, to an organized excursion to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. B
Day 10. Knysna Addo National Park. Your journey continues eastward, via the glorious indigenous Tsitsikamma Forest, to Addo Elephant National Park, South Africa's third largest National Park. Stay at Kuzuko Lodge, where you will receive a fully inclusive experience including game drives. FB
Kuzuko Lodge or similar (2 nights)
Day 11. Addo National Park. An early rise accompanied by tea & coffee before you experience another day of exciting activities and game viewing. FB
Day 12. Port Elizabeth. After breakfast, you will be met and transferred to Port Elizabeth airport where your ‘family safari' comes to an end with treasured memories of South Africa. B
